Holy buckets, that's on my credit still?!?! Damn right it is!

Hey my blogaholics! How is the world treating you these days?!?! Giving thanks to all the people that read my blog! I work hard to bring you information that pertains to life out in the world of credit and I hope you all get something from it! Today, we're going to chat it up about credit items that stay on your credit and there is a chance I'll actually give myself a shameless plug! I bet you can't wait?!?1

On to the hard hitting content that the Red Phoenix loves to bring you! "John, why is this on my credit? this was five years ago!" "John, I paid that!" "John, they said if I paid this they would take it off" Are you catching my drift? Well my friends your credit is important to you and it's important to me. Most times when you have dirty little items on your report you do the right thing and pay it when you know about it. Maybe you argue you it, but eventually you pay it or settle it. What you get in most cases is a shit sandwich served cold when talking to collection agents. They promise the world to you, and like great trusting people we go ahead and listen to them and believe them. They hold the keys to the credit car and you want to drive again. These agents driving the car are nothing but the lead clown in the clown car filled to the brim with others like them. They will not remove anything from your credit, it will stay on there for 7 years. The cell phone or cable company you cancelled with, guess what? They are reporting you to collections about 80% of the time even if you cancelled within your cancellation period. I see it everyday all day when I'm out there helping people! Before you agree to settle with a collection company, maybe pull your credit and see if they're already on there and then get it in writing that they will remove you. Check all three credit reports though, in a lot of cases collection companies are only going to report to one or two of them. Friends, after you pay that collection, even if it was from 5 years ago, you just activated it again so it will be on there another 7 years. That means, old bad stuff will be on your credit for 7 years from the date of last activity, like a payment. Just the fyi for you, if you need help get a hold of me! I had a delay with getting my book out this week. It still may happen, but I ran into a couple of hiccups and I've been busy. The book is very close though, so in the mean time if you need help, I'm always around!
