Here we go again blog fans, or fan!!! I know you're out there! HOT TOPIC IS CREDIT, you can find it anywhere you want to. Some great, (Red Phoenix Consulting) some not so great! What I'm chatty about today is how pride can crush your credit, which in turn takes that same pride and puts it in the vice! So you are in a heated battle over a fee or a charge or something little or so you think with one of your creditors. YOU ARE SO RIGHT AND DAMN IT THEY WILL SEE IT MY WAY OR ITS THE HIGHWAY! I DON'T NEED'EM! Well, here is the thing friends, by taking that pride and really gonna make them see it your way, it's going to make your credit drop! BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! When you take that 30 day late, and you will it does more than make your credit drop. They don't care either by the way, and good luck getting them to "understand" your "unique situation." So you take the late pay on your credit, next what happens is your other creditors catch wind of this. How you ask? They put in their terms that they will periodically check your credit. When they do, they see that late pay. Guess what they can do? According to their terms, that you just violated you now can face an increase in your interest rate, lower your available balance, close your account and make a full payment demand or all three! AWESOME!! All because you were right! hmmmmm, picking up what I'm laying down? So what do I do you ask? Make the stupid payment, then call them up and be nice and get it credited to your account. It's a lot easier than you think especially if you've been a long time customer! Long time customer to them is about a year. Getting them to remove a 30 day late is really, really, difficult! Swallow that pride, be right later or about something else or your credit can go with a blink of an eye! Questions and comments are always welcomed, I'm always around!
